Welsh farmers offered health and safety reminder

Farmers based in Wales have been reminded about the importance of good health and safety practices in their line of work.
Those looking to make greater use of equipment like safety boots in the future may be interested to note that farmers are being called upon by Sandy Blair, the Health and Safety Executive's (HSE) agricultural champion, to focus on safety.
He stated: 'A culture change, led by the industry, is necessary to help unsafe working practices become widely viewed in agricultural communities as unacceptable.'
Mr Blair made his remarks ahead of the Royal Welsh Show, which is being held until July 22nd.
He added that safety should play an important role within the Welsh farming sector because of the economic significance of the industry.
Attractions at this year's Royal Welsh Show, which began on July 19th, include the King's Troop and an appearance from the Chariots of Fire display team.© Adfero Ltd
