Welding helmet launched to complement protective gloves

A new welding helmet has been launched, to work in conjunction with other elements of safety equipment such as protective gloves.

Lincoln Electric and Chip Foose have joined forces to produce the Vista Hemisfear helmet.

The welding head gear features solar-powered auto-darkening technology that is expected to cut down on corrosion.

Designed in the style of a hot rod classic car, it will be available in neon green, black and orange colours.

The welding helmet is also said to incorporate view alteration facilities, allowing for different user preferences.

Sensors in the helmet will also support construction workers by assessing stability, while variable delay settings are anticipated to allow for more operator control.

The welding helmet has been designed for use with protective welding gloves.

It is said to weigh around 567 grams or less, depending on final configurations that are being made.
