Uvex launches eye protection
A leading manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) has unveiled a new range of safety glasses.
Uvex's new Winner Specs are available with either sunglare or clear lenses and feature a number of traits designed specifically to make the comfortable for wearers.
According to Manufacturingtalk, the eye protection product has also been created to recognise the need for both tough and aesthetically pleasing items on the market.
In addition to launching the new spectacles, Uvex has also announced changes to its online prescription service.
The company has re-launched the system, which now allows businesses to set up their own accounts, with a view to speeding up the process of ordering new equipment.
Uvex's UK business was originally formed in 1988, although the company actually started out in 1926 as Optical Industrial Institution in Germany.
Based around three business units, the firm creates head protection, footwear and gloves for use in a number of industries, including the chemicals and manufacturing sectors.
