  3. Sperian launches eye protection

A leading manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) has launched a new range of safety eyewear.

Sperian's new W-Series products have been designed specifically for use by women, as the company claims that some other items do not cater for female cheekbones and their defined brows.

The products include polycarbonate lenses, along with adjustable nosepieces and impact protection that meets several standards.

Kevin Beckerdite, the company's product manager, said that 'finding the right fit' can be a challenge for women looking for PPE.

He added: 'The W-Series gives women the opportunity to feel comfortable and look great while providing premium eye protection.'

Another major PPE manufacturer also recently unveiled a new collection of hearing protection.

SensGard's SG31 product is designed to be used in areas such as airfields, manufacturing plants and construction sites, while it can also be worn with eye protection.

The adjustable products are available in two colours and also retail with their own carry case.
