Safety gloves users encouraged to be wary of winter weather

Householders can adopt a number of strategies if they want to safeguard their properties from some of the threats posed by cold weather conditions in the coming weeks, it has been claimed.
Direct Line Home Response 24 has noted that people could consider trying their hand at insulation work on some of the pipes around their houses, which might potentially require the use of safety gloves.
Meanwhile, the firm also suggests that the dangers of freezing water could also be tackled if people fit taps that have dripping problems with new washers.
Direct Line's home insurance head Andrew Lowe has highlighted some of the problems that winter weather can lead to.
He said: 'A few quick and easy jobs undertaken now could prevent damage such as pipes bursting.'
Meanwhile, AXA also believes that winter weather may lead to problems with people's pipes and believes householders should consider taking action to respond to this.© Adfero Ltd
