  3. RoSPA awards Gold Award to Chubb

Chubb Fire & Security recently celebrated a hat trick of Gold Awards by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The award is the ultimate acknowledgement of the trust placed in the company's business by customers and employees, and was given for the third year running at an awards ceremony hosted at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents also presented a silver award to the branch network business. Chubb is a member of UTC Climate, Controls and Security, which is part of United Technologies Corporation. The company provides fire safety solutions and security for a range of companies and industries in the UK. The awards were accepted by the senior EH & S manager, Mark Redding and Steve Cottrell, also a manager for EH & S.

The managers both felt that the recognition from RoSPA was an indication of the commitment of the company to focus on the welfare of its staff. Cottrell said:

“Our occupational health and safety approach is at the heart of everything we do, and this recognition reinforces our customers' trust in Chubb's business.”

The Occupational Health and Safety Awards are recognised all over the world and RoSPA is a world leader for the prevention of accidents, in addition to the promotion of health and safety. Organisations and businesses which are presented with awards by RoSPA are proving how committed they are to the health and safety of employees, which will include compliance with legislation like the use of PPE and appropriate workwear where necessary.
