Rescue group unveils new safety gloves following Europe-wide tender

A major search and rescue association has unveiled the new safety gloves that are set to protect its 60,000 members.
Following a Europe-wide tendering process, THW Technisches Hilfswerk (the German Urban Search and Rescue Association) has revealed a new protective glove design manufactured by Seiz.
The organisation requires high-level personal protective equipment to react to a diverse range of situations and the new safety gloves are now expected to provide multi-functional usage.
Incorporating DuPont fibres, the Seiz products were selected because of their ability to withstand a range of extreme conditions and different substances.
Rainer Seiz, head designer and owner of Friedrich Seiz GmbH, commented: 'From the very start of our conceptual work it had been clear that only high-end performing material combined with up to date sandwich design technology would enable us to meet all the properties described in the tender.'
The new safety gloves are said to be low in weight with good versatility.
