PPE users could complement safety gloves with new eyewear
People aiming to improve their workplace safety by making use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety gloves may also be able to benefit from a new eyewear product.
Aiming to help employees guard their eyes against strong sunlight, the Uvex SolarPro product was recently unveiled by Sperian Protection.
Making use of the brand's Supra-Dura coating, which is designed to prevent scratches from occurring, those wearing the new eyewear are said to enjoy 99.9 per cent protection against ultra-violet rays.
Uvex's senior product manager David Iannelli has emphasised the large amount of research that has gone into the making of the new product.
He stated: 'We developed Uvex SolarPro based on extensive research among safety managers throughout the Americas, who cited product selection as a top challenge for protecting workers' eyes.'
Back in the UK, those looking to improve their safety in the woodworking sector might be able to take advantage of a new information website which the country's Health and Safety Executive has created.
