People aiming to improve their workplace safety by making use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety gloves may also be able to benefit from a new eyewear product.
Aiming to help employees guard their eyes against strong sunlight, the Uvex SolarPro product was recently unveiled by Sperian Protection.
Making use of the brand's Supra-Dura coating, which is designed to prevent scratches from occurring, those wearing the new eyewear are said to enjoy 99.9 per cent protection against ultra-violet rays.
Uvex's senior product manager David Iannelli has emphasised the large amount of research that has gone into the making of the new product.
He stated: 'We developed Uvex SolarPro based on extensive research among safety managers throughout the Americas, who cited product selection as a top challenge for protecting workers' eyes.'
Back in the UK, those looking to improve their safety in the woodworking sector might be able to take advantage of a new information website which the country's Health and Safety Executive has created.© Adfero Ltd
