PPE international Conference announced
The first ever international conference on Personal Protective Equipment is to be held next year.
The three-day event will take place in Guent, Belgium from May 21st to 23rd.
The focus of the conference with be on Personal Protective Equipment users themselves and the conditions in which they work.
Centexbel, one of the event's organisers, has emphasised that it will act as a forum and a meeting place for all stakeholders in the process of design, selection, use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment.
This includes user groups such as companies and emergency services, as well as test houses, rental services and Personal Protective Equipment producers and distributors.
It is thought topics covered will include comfort, maintenance and cleaning, durability, the relevant regulations and product and material innovation.
A month before the conference, the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham will be hosting the Workwear and Corporate Clothes Show.
On April 2nd and 3rd, 2008, the event will see a showcase of clothing and equipment from the working clothes and Personal Protective Equipment industry.
