New head protection launched

A new range of head protection designed for use by blast operators has been launched.

Hodge Clemco is behind the new Apollo 600 helmet, which has been designed to prevent abrasive rebound from the top of its zip-fastening cape and includes an easy-to-fit fixed visor complete with tear-off transparent strips.

Manufacturingtalk.com reports that the product is made from heavy duty polypropylene and can also be easily used with air defenders.

According to the website, the helmet's airflow also runs through the front of the product and includes warnings on falls in air pressure.

Three new safety vests were recently unveiled by another leading manufacturer of personal protective equipment.

American Safety Vest's new products cover different levels of visibility, with all three available in either fluorescent orange or lime with Velcro closure and reflective striping.

The manufacturer has claimed that the products are ideal for a variety of occupations and are available with customised inscriptions.
