New construction campaign may raise safety gloves awareness

A new campaign has been launched to raise health and safety awareness among migrant workers in the UK.
Launched by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the promotion will notably focus on Polish building site employees who operate in areas of London.
In a development that may improve people's knowledge and use of personal protective equipment such as safety boots, workers will be provided with more information about their health and safety rights.
Philip White, chief inspector of construction at the HSE, commented: 'Reducing the risks faced by the most vulnerable enables all construction workers to work in safer conditions and we hope will minimise potentially dangerous incidents on site.'
He added that specialist representatives of the Polish community will now work with the organisation to offer advice to migrant workers.
The HSE has also recently called on firms using vehicles such as forklift trucks to ensure high standards of health and safety are met.© Adfero Ltd
