  3. Miller launches new fall protection

A new fall protection system has been launched by leading personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturer Miller.

The company's Vi-Go Vertical Climbing System has been designed for workers to use when climbing fixed ladder systems at industrial sites including electrical transmission towers, drilling rigs and wind turbine sites.

Created to leave both hands and feet free for easy climbing, the equipment uses a cable sleeve that moves through brackets uninterrupted and can be adjusted for up to four users.

Its lifeline tensioner is also designed to prevent rung deformation and also highlight when the fall arrest equipment is prepared and ready for use.

The Vi-Go system also includes a steel shock-absorbing element to reduce the level of fall forces.

Earlier this year, Miller announced the launch of its Revolution Harnesses and Shock-Absorbing Lanyards.

The items have been produced for use in areas where liquids are often present, including the petrochemical and painting industries.
