  3. Lion Apparel launches new light-weight protection garment

A new garment has been launched that claims to provide a higher level of protection for bio-terrorism, natural disaster first responses and drug enforcement agents.

The Tactix MT94, designed by Lion Apparel, is a multi-thread garment that is claimed to protect against numerous chemical agents.

Lion president Steve Schwartz told just-style.com the launch of the Tactix MT94 came after two-years of development.

He said the garment was principally designed to offer a high level of vapour protection, guard against challenges set out in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and help with high risk-entries.

The fabric used is a thin, lightweight and high-strength PTFE film with a Nomex outer barrier.

The material is also durable and its light-weight nature allows its wearer greater mobility.

Lion Apparel has offices in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy and Australia and its cliental include police and fire departments, emergency services, military organisations and government agencies.
