  3. Kimberly-Clark launches hand protection

A leading health and hygiene company has announced the launch of a range of hand protection.

Kimberly-Clark's new Kim Tech Pure G3 and G5 Sterling Nitrile gloves are thought to be suitable for those working in a number of sectors, including electronics, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

The company has claimed that the use of nitrile gives users an improved level of barrier protection and puncture resistance, while it also cuts the thickness of the gloves.

Randy Kates, general manager of the firm's professional safety businesses, said the hand protection offers 'the comfort, sensitivity and fit of latex with the protection of nitrile'.

He added: 'Their superior performance, value price, and environmentally friendly packaging make them a welcome addition to our line of limited use, head-to-toe personal protective equipment for critical and controlled environments.'

Last week, personal protective equipment manufacturer Miller launched a new fall protection system.

The Vi-Go Vertical Climbing System is designed for those who regularly climb fixed ladders at industrial sites.
