  3. Italian style comes to PPE

Workwear manufacturer U Group is introducing a touch of typical Italian style to its latest U-Power range, with an experienced fashion designer getting involved.

The firm, which is based in the Italian region of Piedmont, is moving into the UK in a big way through 2014. Already renowned for its industrial shoes, the introduction of designer PPE promises to give a sleeker look to construction sites across the country.

So confident in its new range is the firm, that it feels workers could even wear it off site. A statement released by the company said:

“The range is bang on trend and the height of fashion in its cutting-edge design, but does not sacrifice its ability to offer complete protection for a huge range of workplace tasks.

“No wonder that wearers of U-Power clothing want to keep it on both during and after work.”

The designs have been put together with the help of Maria Teresa Castelli, who has previously worked for design houses such as Fendi and Prada. However, according to the company, it is not about style over substance.

The statement from the firm went on to say that it unites not just the best design approach, but also incorporates the latest technology and innovations. Together, the firm says, this offers:

“Perfect work-to-leisure design and style and the highest levels of performance.”

The new range by the company includes hats, polo shirts, bodywarmers, trousers, gloves and socks.
