Health and Safety Expo attracts record numbers
Record numbers turned up at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for the 2007 Health and Safety Expo, CMP information has announced.
CMP said 22,226 people turned up at the event, which covered a wide range of health and safety issues, including ones to do with personal protective equipment (PPE), Industrial safety talk reports.
Among PPE issues addressed were respirator fit testing and asbestos-related issues.
Organisations in attendance at the event included the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and the British Safety Industry Federation.
The news comes as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) announces its own event to improve knowledge of health and safety issues, which include matters concerning PPE.
HSE Scotland is to join forces with the Scottish Builders' Federation to run the event, which is taking place in Renfrew next week.
