Farming safety to be promoted at Yorkshire show, safety gloves users hear
Farmers attending an event in Yorkshire this week are being given the chance to find out more about health and safety issues, it has been revealed, which may interest users of personal protective equipment like safety gloves.
With Harrogate currently hosting the Great Yorkshire Show, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has confirmed that it is taking part in the event to raise awareness of the dangers posed by agricultural work.
David Snowball, Yorkshire and the Humber regional director for the organisation, commented that advice regarding agricultural risks will be provided to those heading to the Harrogate show this week.
He stated: 'No industry can or should regard high levels of workplace death and injury as being 'part of the job'.
'Other sectors, such as construction, have shown they can improve.'
Earlier in the month, the HSE also confirmed that it is currently launching its new Estates Excellence campaign in Hampshire.
