Fake hard hat checks can be made online

Following the recent emergence of a spate of fake hard hats being distributed nationwide, a leading safety manufacturer has moved to help people discover whether or not their products are counterfeit.

JSP announced that fake safety products such as hart hats and safety gloves had entered the market last month, after finding out the goods were being made in the Middle East or Asia and sold on the UK market.

In order to determine if the product you have is the genuine article, the company has now launched the JSPCheck service online, for contractors and operators to confirm the authenticity of the Mk Evolution range of safety helmets.

Fake equipment is not a laughing matter, as poor equipment could lead to disastrous consequences. It is therefore advisable to buy from a reputable dealer.

Each hat has a unique barcode which details specific details about the production of the helmets, and this could prove pivotal to understanding whether a product is the real deal.
