Dangers of slips, trips and falls revealed to safety gloves wearers

People working in the capital's construction sector are among those that a new Health and Safety Executive (HSE) campaign is hoping to appeal to.

Employees that already make use of personal protective equipment such as safety gloves might be able to improve their workplace wellbeing further by taking note of the organisation's Shattered Lives initiative.

The HSE's campaign is currently outlining the problems that can arise if people slip, trip or suffer from a fall during their work routine.

Commenting on the scheme, the HSE's regional director for the London area Stephen Williams has noted that incidents involving slips, trips and falls are no laughing matter.

He stated: 'Slips, trips and falls might sound funny but they shatter the lives of thousands of British workers every year.'

Meanwhile, workers based in areas like the Isle of Wight and the east of England are also being appealed to through the HSE campaign.
