DIY may prove popular next year, safety gloves users told
DIY renovations may still prove popular among homeowners in 2010, an expert believes.
People looking to make use of personal protective equipment like safety gloves in order to carry out DIY work may be interested to hear the view of Jason Orme, the editor of Homebuilding and Renovating Magazine.
He suggests that DIY may be an attractive option because fewer numbers of people are moving home at present.
Mr Orme commented: 'People's needs don't change, but if they are not moving then they do some work to their own house anyway.
'The demand for more bedrooms and home improvement is still very much there.'
He added that homeowners should consider acting quickly to address any improvements that their properties require.
The expert was speaking after the publication of Aspect Maintenance figures, which suggested that home improvements are likely to be on the agenda for a number of Londoners in 2010.
