Construction safety campaign may support use of safety boots

An ongoing construction campaign is aiming to raise awareness of how builders and contractors can improve their work safety.
Working Well Together tries to cut down the number of accidents that happen within the industry, which may suggest the need for construction workers to make use of personal protective equipment like safety boots when necessary.
The campaign recently staged an event at the Skills Academy in Glasgow, looking to focus on the safety of construction employees who work at height.
Iain Brodie, principal inspector at the Health and Safety Executive, commented: 'The toll of injury in the construction industry in Scotland is a real matter for concern.
'Falls from height continue to be a major cause of deaths and serious injuries across Scotland.'
The Working Well Together campaign is particularly keen to offer support to smaller businesses hoping to find ways to improve their health and safety practices.© Adfero Ltd
