Click-On named best safety product
BM Solution's Click-On device has won a prize at this year's Health and Safety Awards.
The product, which Building describes as an anti-tamper device for use on scaffolding clamps or other fixed points, was given the Best Safety Product or Equipment award.
Cala Group, the John Laing Partnership, Balfour Kilpatrick and SBG Group were also recognised at the event for their safety programmes, while HBG Construction was given the Integrated Project Safety Award.
Building also reported that Trevor Walker, the chairman of Constructing Better Health, was given the Outstanding Achievement prize.
Discussing his win, Sue Perkyns of the Health and Safety Executive told the website that Mr Walker has been 'outstanding' in the role.
'Trevor has been determined in raising the profile of proper occupational health risk management in an industry where there is a poor understanding of work related health matters,' she added.
Construction firm Rok was recently given the International Safety Award by the British Safety Council for its efforts to increase its staff's awareness of health and safety.
