  3. Brady introduces PPE training aids

Brady Corporation has announced the introduction of new training aids to improve arc flash awareness and personal protection equipment (PPE) requirements in order to improve safety.

The new arc flash training aids, which include a poster, wallet card, work permit, a label and a sign, are designed to promote awareness of the dangers of arc flash accidents and to reinforce workplace training.

Brady has also launched a number of large, full-colour laminated posters to identify the PPE requirements for each arc flash hazard category and incident energy level, as mandated by NFPA-70E.

The group said that the preprinted work permits meet NFPA-70E requirements that oblige the use of a written permit for most tasks involving work on or near live electrical parts. The preprinted work permits are intended to ensure that all necessary information and sign-offs are entered without omissions.

These awareness aids are designed to provide workers with an accessible way to confirm the proper PPE to boost compliance and job site safety.
