Asbestos testing may help firms decide on PPE like safety gloves

Firms concerned about the potential dangers of asbestos may be able to make a more informed choice about the type of personal protective equipment (PPE) they need to make use of by opting for testing services, it has been suggested.
In a development that may appeal to those considering the introduction of things like safety gloves, LA Testing has highlighted the potential importance of good quality test results relating to the issue of asbestos.
The firm's national director of client services Ben Sublasky, who also works for EMSL Analytical, has pointed out the experience that his own organisations possess.
He commented: 'Our laboratories are staffed with the most experienced analysts and advanced testing instrumentation.'
According to the Health and Safety Executive's website, a face mask should be correctly used by people if they are expected to work in an environment that contains asbestos, alongside other relevant items of PPE.© Adfero Ltd
