3M launches new respirator
Personal protection equipment (PPE) manufacturer 3M has announced the arrival of its latest upgraded version of the disposable 9300 Series Respirator.
The company has announced the new version to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the launch of the original product, which is designed to give the wearer protection in environments where the air contains dust, mist and metal fumes, Industrial Safety Talk reports.
Among the features listed by 3M in the new version are extra flexibility around the jaw to ease communication, Cool Flow exhalation valves, which channel moisture away from the face and colour coded headbands to indicate the protection level of each mask.
Vikki Nash, product manager at 3M, said: 'It is a low-cost, high-performance, comfortable respirator and is proven to be a product that people actually want to wear.'
The company, which has its UK headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire, produces a range of high-tech products across various sectors.
It was originally founded in the US in 1902.
