Scott Phantom Powered Respirator

Based on the Protector Phantom, the PPR2000 power assisted full facemask is the latest Protector respirator designed for use in the most arduous of environments. It is designed to meet the latest performance criteria and recommendations of national and international bodies. The combination of comfort, high performance, reliability and economic through life costs makes the PPR2000 the obvious choice for applications as diverse as asbestos stripping and grain handling, lead oxide removal, and applications in the pharmaceutical and nuclear industries.

Comfort The injection moulded, non-dermatitic, hypoallergenic facepiece is soft and supple to ensure wearer comfort – particularly during long-period use. Incorporating a reverted edge faceseal, the Protector PPR2000 offers high integrity face fit and superb levels of protection.

Airflow Management Protector’s unique design requires no inner ori-nasal mask. Air is directed over the visor to both minimise misting and provide cooling to the wearer at a high work rate. Visibility is also improved and feelings of claustrophobia from wearing the mask for extended periods are minimised.

Guaranteed High Airflows In accordance with latest international requirements for asbestos stripping, the Protector PPR2000 features a power management system that provides a minimum 160 litre per minute flow throughout an 8-hour shift. This offers wearers significantly higher protection than traditionally designed respirators where the airflow decreases through the charge life of the battery. In addition the Protector PPR2000 breathing resistance, including the filter, is extremely low, minimising negative pressure within the mask, even at very high work rates.

Lightweight and Compact The Protector PPR2000 weighs only 1.5 kg with over half of this being the belt mounted battery. The connection from the battery is via an extending coiled cable to maximise wearer mobility and decrease the inconvenience from cumbersome hoses.

Easy to clean and maintain The PPR2000 has been designed to enable the wearer to maintain their respiratory protection during post-operation decontaminating and showering.

For cleaning and disinfecting, the filter and blower can be simply removed from the facemask – without the need for any tools.

Low Battery Warning The latest improvement to the PPR2000 features an audible and visual warning of a discharged battery. The red LED flashes and the audible beeper sounds as an alert for the wearer.
