  3. Professional Clothing Show is no April Fools' joke

Tickets are now on sale for the 2014 Professional Clothing Show, with the UK's only show of its type moving back to the NEC in Birmingham.

Despite the event taking place over the weekend of April 1 to April 2, there will be few jokes played, with essential workwear and vital PPE (personal protective equipment) being showcased.

There will still be time for a little fun though and, amid a less than celebratory period in British sport, a hark back to recent sporting successes. With memories of the London 2012 Olympics fast fading, the Game Makers’ uniforms will take front and centre stage as part of a live fashion show.

The ‘Pro Show Live’ catwalk will give attendees a great chance to see the uniforms, which each Games Maker was allowed to keep, up close and personal. Protective equipment, the latest trends in uniforms and other corporate threads will also be modelled.

The managing director of the event, Yvette Ashby, said it was wonderful to be returning to the Birmingham exhibition centre, following previous years at nearby Silverstone in Northampton and Coventry's Ricoh Arena.

Ashby continued:

“The facilities are world class.

“2014 is going to be the best event yet, attracting even more visitors and exhibitors from the UK and overseas.”

With up to 3,000 people expected to attend the event, the show is much more than a catwalk, though.

As well as being able to see that latest lines from suppliers, it is a wonderful opportunity to network, discover innovations and understand how best to source the right equipment for worker safety.
