PPE to feature in 2016 Safety & Health Expo

Workwear and PPE will be among the main subjects at the 2016 Safety & Health Expo, held at ExCel London, as the organisers include a Professional Clothing Show.

Following the success of the event in 2015, the organisers plan to increase the focus on workwear and produce an even more successful show, with more than 30% of the floor space to be dedicated to innovative designs in workwear.

The attendance at last year's show demonstrated an increase of 43%, with a major highlight being SHE Live! A catwalk was built so that dancers and models could create a floor show that highlighted the featuring workwear and PPE.

Suppliers and buyers of PPE and work clothing will discover the only exhibition dedicated to those who wish to find the latest designs in work clothing, from the 32 million garments produced every year. During the event, which celebrates health and safety, there will be a Professional Clothing Awards ceremony, which will recognise achievements and innovations in the clothing industry.

The managing director of Professional Clothing Show and Awards, Yvette Ashby, said:

“To be able to partner with such a well established, well respected and productive show within our industry will give the professional clothing industry a firm foundation to build on both nationally and internationally.”

Health and safety is a priority for the many organisations working to improve PPE and work clothing, with the ultimate aim being that more accidents at work are avoided.
