PPE on display in Birmingham
The National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham is to host a catwalk show with a difference when the Workwear and Corporate Clothes Show takes place there, it has been announced.
Held on April the 2nd and 3rd 2008, the event will see a showcase of clothing and equipment from the working clothes and personal protection equipment (PPE) industry, which is worth £430 million a year in the UK, meatinfo reports.
The event, held for both suppliers and buyers of PPE and other equipment, is the first of its kind in the UK.
Organisers have said the show will have around 100 stands and feature catwalk shows and other features put together by international choreographer Debbie Astell.
Last month PR Web said the worldwide market for PPE was projected to grow to a value of $30 million (£15 million) by 2010.
It said higher compliance standards, terrorism and the fear of epidemics are all driving increased demand for products.
