PPE firm launches protective UV eyewear

New protective eyewear is being made available to workers who spend large amounts of time exposed to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays as part of their job.

The 4X4 (TM) Polarized product has been launched by the personal protective equipment (PPE) company Gateway Safety.

Along with its protective UV qualities, the eyewear is also designed to help employees tackle the problem of glare in the workplace.

According to the company, glare that is produced by reflective surfaces can be lowered with the use of the product.

Meanwhile, people who already make use of PPE items such as safety boots may also be interested to note that the Polarized product boasts a soft nosepiece as one of its 'comfort features'.

Earlier this month, a number of PPE items were also introduced to the market by 3M.

These include new additions to the company's 3M Premium Eye Protection range of safety gear.
