PPE equipment highlighted in poster campaign
A new poster campaign on health and safety issues in the construction industry includes the importance of using personal protection equipment (PPE) correctly.
The campaign, launched by equipment hire company Hewden, displays a series of colourful and amusing images designed to attract the attention, Hoist reports.
Hewden's environmental health and safety manager, Martin Williams, said: 'Unique and eye-catching designs ensure that people remember what they’ve seen and are also a light-hearted way of hammering home fundamental safety messages.'
According to the report, a series of six posters for Hewden's customers will follow, including legislative advice and help-lines.
These will include issues such as dealing with noise and dust, which require the wearing of personal protection equipment.
One example of a very recent change to guidelines was the publication of new regulations by the Health and Safety Executive last week concerning work with asbestos, which included the provision of personal protection equipment such as face masks.
