New safety mask launched
Personal protection equipment manufacturer Draeger has announced the launch of the Draeger X-plore 6000 Full Face Mask range.
Created as a replacement for the existing Panorama Nova Standard threaded mask, the company says the new mask is available in five different colours, with Rd40 standard thread filters and air purifying respirators to go with comoressed air breathing equipment, Processing Talk reports.
The company also states that the mask has a double seal to protect any face and is more hygienic that other masks.
While Draeger presents its new product, another development in the face mask industry in the United States may have implications for manufacturers of PPE equipment in Britain.
Redlands fire fighters in the US are to get new equipment thanks to a grant from the department of homeland security, reports Redlands Daily Facts.
One element of the new equipment is the provision of microphones inside the sealed masks, an innovation which may have adaptations in the construction industry should manufacturers install such devices in equipment for use in building projects.
