New guidance for firms looking to improve use of safety gloves
Construction firms looking to improve their usage of personal protective equipment such as safety gloves could be set to benefit from two new health and safety events.
Businesses operating in Herefordshire and Worcestershire will soon be able to take part in free events which aim to look at how employers can meet the high standards set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Working Well Together Group is running meetings in Hereford and Worcester next month to liaise with companies about their current safety procedures.
Barbara Cliff, HSE construction health and safety awareness officer, said that it is important construction firms work together to improve safety and reduce accidents.
She commented: 'There are more than two million people working in Britain's construction industry but, over the past 25 years, more than 2,000 of them have died as a result of injuries suffered at work.'
The HSE works to regulate companies operating within a range of UK industries, ensuring good working conditions for employees.
