HSE to hold consultation event
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has revealed it is expecting over 100 people to attend its consultation event in Liverpool today (January 8th).
Delegates from a number of organisations based in the north-west of England, including trade unions, special interest groups and charities, are expected to attend the meeting to discuss the body's future strategy.
Personal protective equipment may come up at the event, where issues such as the UK's changing industrial landscape and the slow improvements in the sector are to be discussed.
Judith Hackitt, chair of the HSE, said she was 'delighted' with interest in the consultation.
She added: 'I look forward to listening to their views on how they can be part of the solution and would urge all those who could not attend the event to respond to our consultation by letter, email or online.'
The HSE recently launched a new campaign to highlight the risks related to working in the farming industry.
